Repeat Prescriptions

Please follow the guidelines and choose the right option for you.

Please allow us 48 hours (two working days), to process your prescription request.

We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.

Ordering a Repeat Prescription

When you order a prescription online, you can have it sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.

Patients on regular medication will require repeat prescriptions which are fully computerised. Your doctor will have entered onto the computer what medication you are taking, and each time a new prescription is printed by the computer a new repeat prescription request form is also generated to enable you to make a further request.

For safety reasons we can only accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone if you are 70 years old or over, if it has previously been authorised by a doctor or those who, because of their illness or disability, are unable to send their request to the surgery.

We will process your repeat prescription request within 48 working hours. If you require us to send the prescription to a chemist, please allow a few more days before visiting the pharmacy to allow them time to process your medications.  Please remember that Saturday and Sunday are not working days.
